A plan before a payment
You receive a written plan with stages, dates and costs before you commit to anything. If you decide not to proceed, the plan is still yours to keep and use.
An independent career platform for internationally trained doctors — and a deliberately plain account of what we do and do not do.
Every year tens of thousands of doctors who trained outside the United States and United Kingdom try to move their careers into those systems. They are qualified, often experienced, and frequently excellent. What they lack is not ability — it is a clear route, and someone honest to walk it with them.
The market that has grown up around these doctors does not always serve them well. Guarantees are sold that nobody can honour. Fees are quoted without a plan behind them. Observerships are promised and never materialise. Doctors who have already paid a great deal to qualify pay again, for very little.
webMDonline exists to do the same work properly: teaching by practising physicians, a written plan before any money changes hands, introductions to independent licensed professionals rather than in-house substitutes, and an explicit refusal to promise outcomes that are not ours to give.
You receive a written plan with stages, dates and costs before you commit to anything. If you decide not to proceed, the plan is still yours to keep and use.
Legal and insurance work is done by licensed practitioners you engage directly. We introduce, we do not intermediate, and we do not take a cut of their fee.
We do not guarantee matches, posts, licences or visas, because those decisions are not ours to make. We would rather lose a client than sell a promise we cannot keep.
webMDonline was founded by Dr. Robert Taylor, a Harvard-trained physician who has spent four decades in clinical practice and much of that time teaching medicine outside the country he trained in.
He holds an M.D. from Harvard Medical School and an M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health, and completed a research fellowship at the Harvard AIDS Institute. He trained at Cambridge Hospital and the Boston VA, and practises as an internist in Brookline, Massachusetts.
That fellowship led him to found the Health Awareness Connection, the non-profit he still directs, which has run thousands of health-education programmes in the Boston area since 1993 and taken him to close to thirty countries across Africa, Asia and South America.
That teaching is the origin of this organisation. Doctors he taught abroad kept asking the same question: how do I bring this training into a system that will recognise it? The answer was never a single exam or a single form — it was a route, and almost nobody was guiding people along it honestly. He remains directly involved and reads enquiries personally.
Teaching is delivered by practising physicians who have sat the same examinations and worked in the systems our candidates are entering. Legal, insurance and financial matters are handled by independent licensed professionals in the relevant jurisdiction. We name the person responsible for your route at the point you engage us, and you deal with them directly.
One adviser will read this and reply personally. There is no automated funnel behind this form and no obligation to proceed.
Every field except your name, e-mail and goal is optional. The more you tell us, the more useful our first reply will be.
