Who is responsible

The party responsible for personal data collected through this website is webMDonline, 1700 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, United States. For any question about your data, or to exercise any right described below, write to office@webmdonline.com.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form we collect the name, e-mail address, telephone number, country, career stage and message that you choose to give us, together with the language version of the site you used, the date and time of submission, and the IP address the submission came from.

Our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, page requested, time, browser type — as part of normal hosting operation.

We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, social media pixels or third-party marketing scripts on this website. The only cookies set are those strictly necessary for the site to function.

Why we use it

Enquiry data is used for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the services you have asked for. Server logs are used for security and to diagnose faults.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share your details with employers, training programmes, recruiters or any third party without asking you first and obtaining your agreement on each occasion.

Where it is stored

Enquiry records are stored on our web hosting infrastructure in the United States and in the e-mail account of the adviser handling your enquiry. If you are writing to us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within twenty-four months. Records relating to clients are kept for as long as necessary to provide the service and afterwards for the period required by law. Server access logs are rotated by our host on its standard schedule.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to office@webmdonline.com and we will respond within thirty days.

Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights — including under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, and under state privacy laws in the United States — and the right to complain to your data protection authority. We will honour a deletion request regardless of where you live.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS and enquiry submissions are encrypted in transit. Enquiry records are held outside the public web directory and are not reachable from the internet. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and e-mail in particular is not a secure medium — please do not send us clinical information about patients or copies of identity documents by e-mail unless we have asked you to.

Children

This website is intended for qualified doctors and medical students. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
